It’s official. Pumpkin season is here! In addition to picking up a Pumpkin Spice Latte (which celebrates its 20th year this fall!), we’re feeling the urge to share all of our autumn adventures with our friends and family. So in honor the season, we’ve put together our tips for creating Instagram-worthy content to (pumpkin) spice up your feed and stories. Scroll down to see our tips!
Start an Instagram “Add Yours”
Create a fun fall design in PicCollage, upload it to your story, and include the Add Yours sticker! Use the prompt “Something to kick off fall!” to see what fun responses you get! Be sure to tag us @piccollage so we can see and share what you’ve come up with.
Ensure Great Lighting for your Photos
One of the most important things to focus on when taking photos is the lighting. And it doesn’t get much better than at Golden Hour, the time shortly after sunrise or before sunset, when the light is redder and softer than other times of the day. Try to plan any photoshoots around golden hour for truly Instagram-worthy content. But if that’s not possible, use the Editor in PicCollage to make small changes in brightness, vibrance, and saturation to make those fall colors pop!

Make Your Stories Stand Out
In PicCollage, you can create collages with multiple pages that can be saved to your device as a video. We love using this feature to create Stories that really stand out. Choose the Story layout in the app and upload your favorite photos or videos. Then add text to tell a story, include some cute pumpkin stickers, and play around with our Doodle tool to pull everything together! (Orange ink, because pumpkins!) Save and share to Stories!
Post a Pumpkin-Inspired Recipe
And of course, we couldn’t write a post about pumpkin season without including something food-related! Make a carousel post sharing your most delicious pumpkin recipe. Start by creating an eye-catching cover photo – use one of our many fall backgrounds, add a photo of the finished product, and include the name of the recipe. (We love using our “Pumpkin Spice” font for this one!) Then create separate collages for your ingredient list, steps in the recipe, and any other additional information or images! (Pro tip: Include a video of you making part of the recipe to show how it’s done!)
So what are you most excited for this pumpkin season? We can’t wait to see where you’re traveling, what you’re baking, and how you’re getting creative in PicCollage. Be sure to follow along on social media @piccollage for tips, tricks, and new content coming this fall!
