7/04 – Independence Day

7/07 – Tanabata

Tanabata (七夕), also known as the “star festival”, takes place on the 7th day of the 7th month each year in Japan. The festival celebrates the meeting of two lovers Orihime and Hikoboshi, who were tragically separated by the Milky Way (as the legend goes!) During the celebration, people write their wishes on small, colorful paper (tanzaku) and hang them on the branches of bamboo trees. Try writing your wish on our Tanzaku template by simply tapping on the text and customizing it!

7/09 – Eid Al Adha Begins

Eid al-Adha, or the “Feast of Sacrifice,” starts this year on July 9th. One of Islam’s most important holidays, it signifies the willingness of the Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his son, Ismail, as ordered by Allah.
