With St. Patrick’s Day quickly approaching, we thought it’s the perfect time to share 7 of our favorite quotes to celebrate the Patron Saint of Ireland. Of course, we also wanted to share how we created these collages to provide some inspiration as you make your own lucky creations.

“The world is full of magic things, patiently waiting for our senses to grow sharper.”
What’s more magical than a four-leaf clover, especially around St. Patrick’s Day? For this quote we used our “Flower Fields” backgrounds – choosing the clovers, of course – to highlight this quote from Yeats. Our bold “Bebas Neue” font is the perfect contrast to the textured background and makes the words really pop.
“For each petal on the shamrock, this brings a wish your way: Good health, good luck, and happiness for today and every day.”
To highlight this Irish Blessing, we chose our delicate “Dawning New Day” font on a lined background from our “My Classroom” background pack. Paired with a few simple stickers, we love how it looks like it could be a handwritten note from one friend to another.
“A good friend is like a four-leaf clover, hard to find and lucky to have.”
To create a fun collage using this Irish Proverb, we focused on bold font pairings to highlight certain words in the quote. For most of the text, we used the simple “Denver” font, but for the words “clover” and “lucky” we used “King Basil” to draw the eye to the St. Patrick’s themed words. A single clover sticker from the “Lucky Charms” sticker pack completes the collage!
“There are no strangers here, only friends you haven’t met.”
For this collage featuring a quote widely attributed to Irish poet William Butler Yeats, we were feeling lucky. And by that we mean that we used our “Lucky Glitter” backgrounds and “Feeling Lucky” stickers to create a playful collage in the colors of the Irish flag. Paired with the “Dawnton” font, we think it’s the perfect thing to share with a new found friend.
“There is luck in leisure.”
Here we highlighted the word “Luck” using the “Scrabble Letters (Classic)” sticker pack to spell out the word and make it the focal point of the collage. We then used the “Signature” font to finish the quote and our “Lucky Charms” stickers to give it a pop of Irish flair.
“Be yourself because everyone else is taken.”
For this classic quote from Irish poet Oscar Wilde quote, we tried to take his advice. Rather than focusing on orange and green or classic Irish imagery, we did something completely different. Using the “Papercute” font, we spelled out “Be Yourself” one letter at a time, each in a different color, following the shape of the rainbow sticker in the center of the collage. We finished the quote using the “Mt. of Christmas” font in a neutral color.
“May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind be always at your back.”
Who says a St. Patrick’s Day collage needs to have green in it? For this Irish Blessing, we started with our dreamy “Aurora Lights” backgrounds. To get the “cutout” effect with the text, we used the color dropper tool to match the font color with one of the colors in the backgrounds. We then made sure to highlight the text in a corresponding color to make the quote really stand out!
