How to Decorate Your Home with PicCollage

Oftentimes, our homes are the reflection of who we are, and we decorate it according to our own personal sense of style. Whether you’re looking to spruce up an empty space with the trendiest pieces from the local boutique, or simply trying to replace the worn-out couch with a more indulgent investment, deciding whether to purchase an item or not can be quite challenging. It would be great to have a personal interior designer on call or a fat bank account to accompany us during these times, but for most of us who don’t, PicCollage can be the tool to help you achieve your model home.

Make the move-in or decorating process a lot easier by following these five easy steps:

Step 1: Take a photo of your room or the space you want to decorate.

Step 2: On the PicCollage app, tap Get Started. Import the photo, and adjust the Size of your canvas to your liking.

Step 3: Use Cutout to help you choose the right furniture.

Say you can’t decide between two options. Or that you have been eyeing a particular furniture online, but have no idea how it will look like in your room. You’re probably thinking it’s cute, but you don’t want to end up making an impulsive purchase that might end up as a poor choice. What you can do however, is to save the photo of that furniture, and use the Cutout tool to see whether it belongs in your room.

How to use Cutout: First, import the desired photo to PicCollage. Next, double tap on the photo, and select “Cutout”. Run your finger along the silhouette of your furniture until you come back to your starting point. Tap on the check mark once you’re done!

Step 4: Use Web Image to help fill in your floor plan.

This feature is perfect for people who don’t know where to start. If you have plenty of living space to work with, and have no specific furniture in mind, you can begin by visualizing how multiple items would look like in your room. For example, if you are thinking of decorating your shelves or coffee table, then you can look for “vase png” to see how varying styles and colors would fit in your space.

Step 5: Above all, make sure to have fun decorating your space.

There’s no such things as too kitschy or too plain. What matters is that you trust in your instincts because at the end of the day, your home should feel like it’s yours!
